Would it shock you to learn that 40% of sexually active female teenagers in America have an STD?

I just read that. Wouldn't that be considered an epidemic in America? It is 25% in ALL female teenagers in America... those who claim to be sexually active and not sexually active combined. That means one out of every four female teenagers in America has an STD. And many STD's show few, if any, symptoms in females. I think those statistics are insane. But they should be addressed.Would it shock you to learn that 40% of sexually active female teenagers in America have an STD?
Yet schools insist on only teaching abstinence. Teach the kids how to use a rubber for goodness sake!Would it shock you to learn that 40% of sexually active female teenagers in America have an STD?
It would...but isn't it worse in Africa? It's amazing what you don't learn that you need to know, huh? 0_o

They need a central system of factual information, which we (as a global human race) can access via 'tabs' which name the topic we would like to review. The sight should be viewed and critiqued by millions, but remain as true as possible. Based on the internet, but disconnected from such of course =)

Such a crazy idea!

...but isn't that how they all start? Keep searching for the answers!
This doesn't shock me, I graduated last year and went to plenty of parties....girls in HS are easy, they are even easier when alcohol is involved. So sad
i think they should be addressed too, with education/information not fear and ignorance
Schools are not teaching sex ed. But it's not really their job. It is the parents job. Parents Need to talk to their kids about sex.
They all didn't get it from one guy. There must be tons of young men out there with problems too.
Nope not at aLL.
