Why does Disney Channel hire teenagers when that isn't the target audience?

Why not make shows starring eleven-year-olds? To me, that would make more sense.

If Disney wants to make a show about teenagers, then they should learn about how teenagers think and behave. But because they are so family-oriented they can't do that, so why not hire younger kids? At least, then, the kids will have more than three years in the spotlight. Why does Disney Channel hire teenagers when that isn't the target audience?
I'll tell you why.

It's because they want to brainwash little kids into thinking that their teen years will be this bubblegum pink squeaky clean place, even though they're gonna get smacked in the face when they're older but they make enough money that it's ok. They profit off of the shattered dreams of children! Why does Disney Channel hire teenagers when that isn't the target audience?
probably because kids dont want to see lil kids like de,m selves they want tos ee bigger kids get hurt.
they want to create role models for the youngsters that they can look up to. what a cheesy answer but true!
