Teenagers nowaday are lack of patriotism? What is your opinion about this issue?

Give the country where you refer to.Teenagers nowaday are lack of patriotism? What is your opinion about this issue?
USA.

Our kids are very patriotic and most have better sense than the majority of their elders.

They had enough sense to tell Bush where to get off the FIRST time he wasn't elected.

They're smart enough to not confuse following a temporary dictator with following Love of a 230 year-old Country.

Like I said, most have better sense than the majority of their elders.Teenagers nowaday are lack of patriotism? What is your opinion about this issue?
Yes, Nowadays teenager lack patriotism.

1. Lack of knowledge of history of the country they belong.

2. More interested in their own personnel life.

3. No knowledge of country's interests
i dont think so because today we can see students rising in rebellion against an improper govn.

they still respect the national anthem or things like that
Teenagers are more prone to emulate the beliefs or attitudes

of those they respect. Not necessarily their parents, but parents

are a good source.

If the Adults patriotism leaves a lot to be desired, ergo the Teens.
today its kinda sad...in my country, u have to stop what we're doing when the anthem plays, and in school you have to stand straight like a soldier...when i came to the U.S, I realized some ppl were playing around giggling while the rest of us said the pledge in class...People are taking there freedom for granted, 'cause soon there won't be any......
hey! im a teen and i dont have a patrionism problem!! im aussie
I'm a teenager and i don't lack patriotism..well at least not for My native country..I respect the US country and always will but i am not as patriotic for the US as i am for my native country..which is the Dominican Republic. :)
send them to live in a communist country. their spoilt and ungrateful for a country that is free.
I'm in the U.S.

I have a 8yr old in 3rd grade, who informed me that the new

school didn't say the pledge of alegiance.

How can we have patriotic children if the schools are so busy teaching diversity that patriotism and civic pride take a back seat.
