im writing a book and i need to know where rich teenagers hang out on a normal day. what shops what restaurants, and the actual names of the places would really help. and it cant be obvious places or shops like gucci prada, i know that its obvious. what activities do they do after school, during the weekends, what art gallaries do they go to, ice cream shops i dont know. alot of details would help thankyou!Where do rich teenagers hang out in New yOrk?
Well...a book like what you're describing has been done. And done again. And re-done. And over done.





That said, if you're writing a fiction book, then use your imagination. It doesn't have to be based on reality.


Finally, there is no area of NYC that is set aside for ';rich teenagers'; only.





The Upper East Side, as some answerers have mentioned, is not exclusive for the wealthy. In fact, there are several less than nice areas of the Upper East Side as there are in all parts of NYC, it's usually people not from NYC and rely solely on Gossip Girl who list this place as a wealthy area.





However, it seems to me that most of the wealthy areas surround the edge of Central Park. Particularly, Central Park South, East, and West.





If you're unfamiliar with the area then avoid writing about it, your lack of experience will show.

Ummm, well I guess the Upper East Side on Madison; definitely Bloomingdale's; at Bloomie's there is Forty Carrots, they have frozen yogurt they will hang out there a lot; Central Park they will just walk around there; schools: Trinity, Nightingale, Loyola, those are all east 80sish, hope this helps!
