Why do old people always call teenagers cute?

Teenagers aren't 5 years old. We grow tired of getting called ';cute'; by old people. We aren't cute, so what's the big idea?Why do old people always call teenagers cute?
Yeah I agree with that totally. Cute is for babies and toddlers and once a child gets past like 4 years old, the ';cute'; wears off.





Most guys be them boys, or men don't want to be refferred to as cute by anybody. Be it parent, somebody else who is older and even by a person who is a few years younger or older than we are. We don't say anything when we get called cute, but I know for a fact most guys deep down don't like getting called that. Cute is for puppies, not for guys. We prefer studly and handsome.Why do old people always call teenagers cute?
Not every elderly person calls teens cute. Suspect it is just a phrase some seniors have in their vocabulary. I am 67 and hate to be called ';Hon'; or ';Honey'; by a waitress or salesperson. Sure I am not tall... only 5'4';, but cut it out! Join the club. Lots of us have similar problems. If you hear it repeatedly from a neighbor or relative, politely let them know that you do not like to be called ';cute';. Most will try not to call you that from then on but may accidentally slip now and then. Now, when you become a senior, don't forget and call a teen ';cute';... I know you won't...
Maybe it's because many teens act like 5 year olds and believe me they do. Just suck it up and be big about it not taking it to heart. If you sweat the small stuff the big stuff will make you nuts.
I know! Ugh i hate it. But i guess everyone has the old aunt/grandma that pinches their cheek,calls them cute,and always thinks of them as a little kid even though they're grow up. =)
We probably are.. Isn't it funny how some of us teens think we're so grown up enough to do things on our own and to drink alcohol and have sex? I mean.. It's hilarious! We're supposed to be just kids.. Therefore be cute.
i really don't know bc they are actually quiet bitchy asking for money, cars and if you don't give it to them they whine and scream about it
For girl teenagers, it's actually a compliment. But, I don't know why people call male teenagers cute.
I don't see the big deal in being called cute. Just another way to call some pretty or just generally nice looking. Take it as a compliment and move on.
