I am planning a TV Land Awards Night themed party for a group of 100+ teenagers. Does anyone have ideas?

Hard to please is an understatement. But teens definitely like glitz, glamour, and over the top everything. You will probably want to modify both to capture the charm of classic television and will want to focus on shows from the 90's that the kids grew up on.





If your budget permits, have lots of large screens continuously playing classic TV shows. Keep the red carpet from the Hollywood theme and have classic TV tunes blaring as the kids enter the party. If you can find some TV star impersonators - go for it.





As for the decor inside, how about a retro, chic, glitzy look. Limit the number of formal sit down tables and instead use couches (many party rental companies now offer sleek couches), x-large bean bag lounge chairs, and cocktail rounds, and absolutely get your hands on as many metal TV trays as possible. Play with their ideas and add some of your own - obviously substitute mock cocktails for the real thing.





A great DJ is probably the only entertainment you will need. In addition to playing music the teens will like, most DJs can put together some fun TV trivia games to break up the night. Since the girls will probably be wearing rather skimpy ';cocktail'; attire, I would recommend skipping party games like twister.
