Why do some teenagers have a difficult time whilst others seem to have a settled straight-forward time of it?

arguing with parents, dropping out of school getting in trouble with the law etc....

I'd personally say that no one has a settled - straight forward time with their parents, school or getting into trouble. Everybody has problems regardless of whether you can 'see' them from where you are standing.





It can sometimes take alot for a person to confide in you regarding their home life or school life ect. What you sometimes see on the surface isn't necessarily the truth! While another family may seem perfect to you. I can guarantee you that they have their own issues! Remember people tend to think that the 'grass is always greener on the other side of the fence'.





I have a very close group of friends and realised as we all grew up together that each of us has our own personal problems with life, family, work and uni ect. It just depends on how you deal with your issues that determines how you get on in life.





You can have two children from the same family turn out completely different - One a criminal the other someone who works ect.





Each person will react differently to the same situation.





Some people turn to crime if they feel excluded or let down by society. Poverty is another factor that can force people into crime. It really depends on the person!Why do some teenagers have a difficult time whilst others seem to have a settled straight-forward time of it?
some teenagers just want to have a good time and forget the rules, which involves rebelling against your parents and drinking/smoking.





im 16 and get along great with my parents and i dont drink or smoke, but i still can have a good time with my friends when we do go out. however, i have a cousin who is 2 weeks younger than me and she is a total rebel. she smokes, drinks, doesnt listen to her parents, talks back in school, get in tons of fights in school, and refuses to do any work in school. unfortunately, she found out she is pregnant 3 weeks ago and her parents kicked her out of the house to live with her boyfriend. i hope this is the wake up call she needs to get a little bit of sense.





but to answer the question, teenagers are expected to act out. we are expected to try new things and not listen to our parents. so most of us do, and no one wants to be miss goody two shoes.
Upbringing has everything to do with it. Moral support at home means everything. Maladjusted parent's have maladjusted children.
