I think that it is mostly bad. I think most of them have it for the wrong reasons and a lot of them don't have enough responsibility about it. THat being said, I think the solution is in strengthening their self esteem and teaching them about unconditional love. I think that overreacting to young teens having sex just makes it more enticing because it's so cool and rebellious.





I think we need to get to the root of the issue hear and recognize that irresponsible, meaningless sex is a symptom of a much more serious problem. If we have happy and healthy kids, I think they would be far more responsible and involved in things they can be proud of rather than just sex. That is why I see sex as mostly a potentially harmful distraction, not a huge problem in itself. But if I ever had to give a teen a talk about it, I would take it as a case by case situation. The right time to have it is different for everyone. Some kids are real mature, some are not.





1 out of 5 people have herpes by the way. Crazy.
As someone who lost their virginity at 17 I've gotta say, looking back 16 and under does seem young. You can't quite wrap your head around what it means.





Still, Teenagers are a determined lot and if they WANT to have sex they're gonna goddamnit. My philosophy is to try to convey to my kids how important this is to me, to them, and to life in general, try to get them to understand the gravity of it, and then teach them how to be safe.





Oh, and Abstinence: A personal choice, not something that can be forced on anyone short of castration. Like I said, if they wanna do the nasty they're gonna.
It makes me fear for the future of the world.





Im hating the fact that these ill-concieved children of one-night stands born to underage parents will be the ones deciding what happens to my pension.





No good can come of this, because like it or not, 90% of teenagers do not use protection and are left with children they arent old enough for, or ready for.
No matter how much you try to talk to your children about not having sex, they are going to do it anyway. They think their parents wont find out and ';everybody's doing it'; and thats its ';no big deal';





No matter what a persons age is:


IF YOU DONT WANT A BABY, USE PROTECTION! Condoms for sure and also the pill, shot, patch or another form.


There are alot of STD's out there and a baby should be the least of someones problems.
The way evolution has gone about, i think that this is not the way it was supposed to be.





Whenever/however we humans were made, we were meant to have reproduce once we got these raging hormones,started periods, etc.





But the way life is now, it's frowned upon because we're evidently supposed to live to our fullest which means having no sex if you're not married or underage, because it can result in a baby.





See i'm not an adult, but i know what i know.





And i think that having sex is a natural part of life whenever you do it. No matter the age, (unless kids who haven't even started puberty are doing it) sex is natural.





Thats just my thought on it. Many people will most likely disagree.

About the same as it always has been. Every generation thinks they are the ones who invented sex. The only thing I see is that kids nowadays, especially girls do NOT a clue as to what it really means to have sex and be responsible. They treat it like an afterschool activivity they might get extra credit for. WRONG%26gt;%26gt; Big grown up experience and you best prepare yourself for having a broken heart.





They _think_ they do. but most have never been even a bit self supporting and have no idea what it is going to take to raise a child--by themselves. Too much TV. And they don't expecr Daddy to stick around. Which is really bad.
teenagers should be having a fun life, they have their stressful school days, so insted of being isolated inside the house, studying more, being gay and not talking to guys/girls they should go on a date, of chill with a few friends- co-ed..its lots of fun, not saying they have to have sex,but just to ahve fun
I don't see what is wrong with it really. It's not like on your 16th birthday you will suddenly have a revelation and realise what sex is about or anything.





You won't be any different the day before your 16th birthday and your actual 16th birthday!





So as long as they use protection and only do it with people of a similar age then why the hell not?!
I personally think it's not all that great. Some kids may mature. But you know what most girls under 16 are not ready for the consequences. Body is not ready either you know physically.
I think that each to their own and who are we as individuals to judge someone on how they live their life. You only get one life so you should live it how you want regardless.Its their own choice at the end of the day.
The combination of basic biological needs coded into our DNA, a need for parental rebellion, and sex becoming more acceptable in our culture every year make this a nearly inevitable act.
As a mother of a two year old. I am worried. Teens should be living life, and studying, not worried about some as life changing as sex.








I think teens need to worry more about their future....
They enjoy ignorance and, revel in stupidity.
im 14 i have sex. but not in a slutty way. only with my boyf. and we use prtoection. so we're being respinsible. :)
